Charlie’s comedy is defined by an engaging personality that displays his quick wit and clever parody. Audiences at Charlie’s shows are fans of his dry humor and willingness to mock all things in politics and entertainment. His act comes mostly from his experiences growing up in rural North Carolina with a gay parent, his relationships with women and pop culture at large. Current political events are a constant theme in Charlie’s act. He even sells some of his more astute political jokes to traveling comics around the world. Charlie has been doing stand-up clubs and downtown rooms in New York City since 1999. He has been a favorite host at a variety of clubs including Comedy Village, The Laugh Lounge and Gotham Comedy Club.
